1. Full Membership with CPHR

Associate members with CPHR are individuals who currently hold their Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation, and who currently work in Human Resources, performing HR functions for more than 50% of the work day and have successfully completed a recognized degree, diploma course or certificate with a concentration in HR or equivalent experience (equivalency determined in the assessment process). Full members have voting privileges and are eligible to serve in all board and committee positions.


2. Full Membership

Full Members are individuals who currently work in Human Resources, performing HR functions for more than 50% of the work day and have successfully completed a recognized degree, diploma course or certificate with a concentration in HR or equivalent experience (equivalency determined in the assessment process). Full members have voting privileges and are eligible to serve in all board and committee positions.


3. Associate Membership with CPHR

Associate members with CPHR are individuals who currently hold their Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation and who have an interest in Human Resource Management but do not qualify for full membership. Associate members do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to serve the Board but are able to serve on all committees.

4. Associate Membership


Associate members are individuals who have an interest in Human Resource Management but do not qualify for full membership. Associate members do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to serve the Board but are able to serve on all committees.


5. Student Membership


Student memberships are open to individuals registered full-time at a post secondary program of studies leading to a certificate or degree in Human Resources Management. Student members must submit an official Letter from the Registrar as proof of full-time registration for each year of membership. Student members do not have voting privileges and are not eligible to serve inboard or committee chair positions.


6. Retired Member

Honourary Membership


Honorary Membership may be conferred on persons who are considered to have made outstanding contributions to the field of Human Resource Management. Nominations for this honor may be made by any Full member, with the decision resting with the Executive. Honorary members have voting privileges however may not hold Executive office.
